In the first seven months of 2019, 67 UP pharmaceutical students went abroad for international internships and conferences in Thailand, Indonesia, Poland and the Republic of Korea. Among them, 21 pharmaceutical students conducted international internship at Khon Kaen University, Thailand; 9 pharmaceutical students attended the international conference at Walailak University, Thailand; 2 pharmaceutical students joined the International Conference in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand; 5 pharmaceutical students will join International Pharmacy Summer School at University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia; 29 pharmaceutical students are traveling to join the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy Conference at Ajou University, Korea; and 1 pharmaceutical student will do exchange program in Poland. In the first step to move to competency-based education, UP Faculty of Pharmacy created a workshop to consult with all pharmacy professionals and relevant stakeholders in Cambodia to create a competency framework for UP Pharmacy Graduates. The core competency framework describes, in generic terms, the knowledge, skills, behaviors and attitudes that are central to pharmacists performing effectively and to an acceptable standard in contemporary professional practice in Cambodia. They include performance criteria that focus on key aspects of performance and express what a competent professional would do in terms of observable results or behaviors. When summer time comes, our students excitedly think about IPSS! IPSS is one of the biggest Summer Schools in Indonesia. This annual event is usually organized by the Association of Pharmacy Student (HIMFA) in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This year, IPSS brought about “Indonesian Herbs Medicine: Potential Ingredients as Healthy Cosmetics” from July 22 to August 04, 2019 at University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. និស្សិតបច្ចេកទេសមន្ទីរពិសោធន៍វេជ្ជសាស្ត្រនឹងចុះអន្តេវាសិកចំនួនបីខែនៅវិទ្យាស្ថានប៉ាស្ទ័រកម្ពុជា និងមន្ទីរពេទ្យព្រះសីហនុ មណ្ឌលនៃក្តីសង្ឃឹមចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី២៩ ខែកក្កដា ដល់ ថ្ងៃទី១១ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០១៩ ។ គោលបំណងនៃអន្តេវាសិកនេះគឺដើម្បីបង្កើនចំណេះដឹង និងជំនាញដល់និស្សិតនៅក្នុងមន្ទីរពិសោធន៍រោគវិនិច្ឆ័យមានដូចជា សេរ៉ូ-អ៊ីមុយណូសាស្ត្រ បាក់តេរីសាស្ត្រ ប៉ារ៉ាស៊ីតសាស្ត្រ គីមីជីវសាស្រ្ត លោហិតសាស្រ្ត និងជីវម៉ូលេគុលសាស្ត្រ ។ Medical laboratory students will conduct their 3-month internship from July 29, 2019 till October 11, 2019, at Institute Pasteur in Cambodia and Sihanouk Hospital: Center of Hope Medical Laboratory. The purpose of the internship period is to increase students’ knowledge and skills in medical laboratory diagnostics such as sero-immunology, bacteriology, parasitology, biochemistry, hematology and molecular biology.
