Nutrition Awareness Campaign

On March 23rd 2015, Med-Club’s students within its president, Mr. Heng Sagna, student of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Puthisastra, Prepared a campaign called “Nutrition Awareness Campaign”highly recommended by H.E Sok Puthyvuth, President of University of Puthisastra. The campaign, which has involved nearly 400 students, was carried out in order to raise awareness about fitness and nutrition, especially the proper exercise of university students, under the theme “Think about health, Think about nutrition

The program was also honoured by Mr. KITH CHANKRISNA, Executive Vice President of UP, accompanied by MR. LONG SOPHENG, VP for Academic Affair. In his speech, he emphasized that students’ concerns on the quality of food is quite necessary. Nutrition Food is relative to the dietary needs of the body. In order to stay healthy, good nutrition, which has enough ingredient, and exercise are required to do regularly.

Under the presentation of Dr. Chea Mary, Vice president of National Program Nutrition, it recommended students to categorize the summary of classification in nutrition (macro nutrition and micro-nutrition), including how to get familiar with ways of calculating BMI in order to check weight and health as to get positive result.

Most of the students are not familiar with the awareness of doing exercise and eating healthy food; thus, it’s extremely important for them to attend this special workshop “Nutrition Awareness Campaign
