Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with National University of Singapore (NUS) “Project Lokun”

On Wednesday, May 20th, 2015, University of Puthisastra (UP) celebrated Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony with National University of Singapore (NUS) on the formal agreement on “Project Lokun”, which attended by Dr. Prof. R. Anbin Ezhilan, Vice President of International Affairs and Research, Mr. Long Sopheng, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Mr. Seng Bunvirak, Assistant to Executive Vice President and Ms. Ouk Suna, Student Affairs Supervisor.
University of Puthisastra was honorable to sign on Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that serves as basis of our initiative cooperation on “Project Lokun”, which plays an important role to facilitate in rural areas, Cambodia. The aim of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to participate in educating and promoting healthful living standard to villagers; additionally, students will gain more knowledge from Singaporean doctors as well as enrich their professional medical skills.
Lokun is recognized as Overseas Community Involvement Project (OCIP) and was first established in December, 2007. Its medical missions have served 5 villages- Keov Monih, Takeo, Chuk Meah, Ruluoh and Kampong Luong – in Pursat, Cambodia. Project Lokun’s vision is to work cooperatively with University of Puthisastra (UP) to achieve sustainability of rural community health care in Cambodia.
