On May 2nd, 2013, the University of Puthisastra had a great honor to welcome professor Kap-Soo Oh, a visiting professor at Seoul National University, to our campus. Besides his academic experience, professor Oh is also a non-executive member of the BOD of the KB Kookmin Bank and a chairman of the Risk Management Committee. Moreover, he is a chairman of Global Finance Society.Professor Oh, who has more than 30 year experience in financial sector, spent the whole morning to give lecture on the topic “The Korean Economic Miracle and the Development of the Financial System” to 200 students of the University of Puthisastra mostly from Economics and Business faculty. This event started with the opening remarks by the president of UP before giving the floor to professor Oh. After the lecture, the President of the University of Puthisastra gave a thank-you remark to professor Oh and presented him a gift.
This guest lecture is a kick-start of UP’s effort to have guest lecture series in every academic years, so that our students will get more new experiences and ideas from famous people in academic sector, business sector, and technology.
