International Conference on the 4th Industrial Revolution and Its Impacts

Dr. Chea Sin, the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Keo Samell, the head of Pharmacognosy, along with 9 pharmaceutical students are participating in the ‘‘International Conference on the 4th Industrial Revolution and Its Impacts” hosted by the University of Walailak, Thailand from 27th March to 30th March 2019. This conference gathers educators and researchers from different countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, China and other Asian Countries to discuss about the impacts of this revolution on different areas including: (1) Health Sciences; (2) Education and Public Policy; (3) Environment; (4) Human Capital; and (5) Digital Technology. During this 4-day- conference, Dr. Chea Sin will chair the natural products session and give oral presentation on ‘The gateway to international collaboration on natural products research in the 4th industrial revolution.’ While Dr. Samell are going to present the ‘Phenolic Contents and Lipid Peroxidation Inhibition Effects of Selected Medicinal Plants Native to Cambodia, our pharmaceutical students are delighted to do presentation on their 9 research posters in Pharmacognosy and Public Health. All accepted papers during this conference will be published in Walailak Procedia, Walailak Journal of Science and Technology (indexed in Scopus) or Walailak Journal of Social Sciences (indexed in Thai-journal Citation Index Tier 1). This conference will also generate inputs on how the world governments need to adequately plan for and regulate our new capabilities to advance sciences and technologies for the wellbeing of people all around the world. Locally, this will surely give UP a deep insight for how it could prepare students and faculties for this revolution!
