Lab sciences fostering skills for future careers

Associate Degree in Lab Sciences Year 3 students practiced their first role-plays in their English class last week. Students applied collaboration, research, and critical thinking skills to build compelling scenarios with provided prompts. Each group worked together to overcome a specific problem regarding lab equipment or lab results and come up with a feasible solution.

The English course for this practice group focuses on conversation in real-life and career-related contexts. Hence, the scenarios of these role plays took place in a laboratory. The students played different characters that worked in the said facility and had engaging and interactive conversations.
