Recently Dr. Horn Sereybot, our UP Dental Clinic Manager, was awarded a Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Orthodontics from the UK. This 2-year program was organized through the Orthosociety organization in collaboration with City of London Dental School and University of Bolton. Dentists from many countries attended including those from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Thailand, but Dr Sereybot was the only participant from Cambodia.
Each candidate was required to complete an orthodontic theory course and practical components. During the course there was a comprehensive entry examination, submission of 10 completed cases, a final matriculation exam and an oral case presentation conducted by City of London Dental School. Assistant Professor Anand Marya, our Head of Discipline for Orthodontics at UP, was the local mentor for the program and supervised Dr Sereybot’s orthodontic cases. Dr. Sereybot intends to share his knowledge and experience with UP undergraduate students, as well as providing treatment for private orthodontic patients in the UP Dental Clinic. Congratulations to Dr Sereybot who is now part of our growing orthodontic team.
